Gaetan Borgers
Director and CEO
International Executive with 25 years of general management experience focused on business growth, Mr. Borgers has developed a strong track record in delivering new business in the Solar Industry for 15 years. Critical to his success has been his ability to lead large, multifunctional teams, to negotiate complex deals in all regions of the world, and to understand the business drivers in specific markets. He has a unique experience in the Solar Industry having held leadership roles in all the steps of the value chain. His experience ranges from the Solar feedstock business with Dow Corning, the sale of solar modules and solar power plants with Soitec, and the debt and equity raising for utility scale solar projects with Emirates Capital.
Mr. Borgers has broad international experience, having lived and worked in Europe, the USA, and Asia. He held positions in the executive committee of Soitec and Emirates Capital. He was a board member of Infinite Power Solution, a battery start-up based in Denver, Colorado. He has a master in Chemical Engineering and another in Business and Administration from the UCL in Belgium

Accomplished international executive with almost 30 years of experience at DOW CHEMICAL COMPANY a Fortune 50 corporation, he has successfully led and orchestrated in excess of 60 highly complex M&A transactions in size from one dollar to $20 billion. Experienced leader of multi functional and cross business teams , he has negotiated and implemented international accounting, treasury and tax structures while adhering to global compliance standards and stakeholder needs.
Joining BCleantech Stephane is still on the board of The Emirates Capital Limited. Before that, he was serving as President, Dow Africa, since 2010. He is passionate about the economic potential of the Continent and has established a wide network of senior level stakeholders across that region.
Stephane has extensive executive experience as Board Member of multi-billion dollars, international companies in Middle East, North America, and Europe. In these positions, he was instrumental in supporting some companies for faster growth, or driving others through turbulent times. This keeping the balance between the best interests of the companies and those of its shareholders.
He and his family have lived in Europe, the USA and the Middle East.
